Mom Tells Her Kids Christmas Is Canceled Due To Too High A Bill To Extend Their Dog's Life

Owning an animal is a responsibility that we agree to take on for the entire life of the animal. And this is perfectly normal.

A mother recently explained to her two sons that the holidays would be different years because the family must pay the sum of £8,317 (nearly 10,000 euros). Indeed, their Staffordshire Bull Terrier was diagnosed with bone cancer.

A choice of the heart

As the DailyMail explains, this mother made the decision that her heart imposed on her, the only decision she could make. Joely Eaton, 29, decided to have his beloved dog Buddy's leg amputated after he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. This owner of a cleaning company said: “I could not have euthanized him, he is like another child for me. »

She then explained to her ten-year-old and seven-year-old sons that this year, the real gift of the whole family would be the presence of Buddy, their beloved doggie.

A heavy treatment

Unfortunately for Buddy, his days are numbered. But thanks to the treatments paid for by his family, he should be able to live 18 months longer by following the recommendations of veterinarians based on chemotherapy, surgery and other drugs.

The whole family agreed to help Joely pay the bill. A GoFundMe has even been set up to raise funds.

Today, a good part of the bill has already been paid and the two children have fully accepted this decision, which they understand as they are so happy to be able to share moments of happiness with their dog.
